Born on January 20, 1970, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Kerri Kenney-Silver grew up in Westport, Connecticut, and New York City. The child of Carol Kenney and Larry Kenney, an actor famous for voicing Lion-O in ThunderCats, Kerri’s flair for creativity seemed inherent.

Personal Life

Kerri and her cinematographer husband, Steven V. Silver, have been together since 2004. They are proud parents of a son named Kai Silver, born in 2005.


Kenney-Silver’s educational journey led her to New York University. Here, she became part of the sketch comedy ensemble The New Group, later evolving into The State.

Her reprised role as Deputy Trudy Wiegel in Reno 911!: Miami (2007) was a hit, earning double its budget of $10 million. Other significant works include Other People (2016), and A Futile and Stupid Gesture (2018).

Apart from well-known roles, she appeared in various shows like Viva Variety as Agatha Laupin in 1997, 2 episodes of Anger Management (2012), and a single episode of Key & Peele (2013).
